Futura 83 has been the most frequently tested variety over the past five years in Italy, from north to south. It is genetics developed for seed production, but it also produces satisfactory amounts of biomass. Futura is a fiber hemp variety originating from France. The plant is perfectly adapted to the Atlantic climate, and is therefore widely grown in Europe. This industrial hemp variety is grown primarily to obtain seeds, whose yield is very high. In addition, this hemp variety allows for a substantial harvest of inflorescences as well as fiber. Futura 83 hemp is used to produce dense hemp oil as well as CBD oil. It can also be used to obtain biomass, and is also used in the textile industry. The THC content does not exceed 0.1%, while the CBD content reaches 2 - 3%. Thanks to such a low content of this cannabinoid, Futura 83 has been accepted into the European catalogue of official agricultural plant varieties. The plant reaches a height of 250 - 350 cm. Futura 83 is a resinous variety, with a strongly noticeable citrus aroma, which the plant owes to its high terpenoid content. The flowering period falls at the end of August. The plant is excellently suited for cultivation both indoors and outdoors. More drought-resistant than Futura 75.
