All industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) varieties we offer are certified and approved for cultivation in Poland and the EU. Before sowing in Poland, the crop must be registered with the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) in order to be legal!
Seed, straw or CBG-rich flowering tops? We explain how to match an industrial hemp variety to your growing goal.
How to choose an industrial hemp variety for your crop?
The choice of variety depends above all on what you want to get from your plantation.
Growing for seed – in our opinion the dioecious Finola works best. It is the shortest variety on the market, yields well and has very soft fibre, so it is easy to harvest with any combine – even an old Bizon. Seed crops also include monoecious varieties, e.g. Futura 75, Felina 32 or Fedora 17, which ripen evenly.
Whatever you choose, you may only grow certified varieties from the EU catalogue, and before sowing you need to be entered in the KOWR register – see our guide: KOWR registration step by step.
