CBD and CBG are two natural cannabinoids found in hemp. In most varieties CBD dominates, while CBG occurs only in small amounts – the plant produces it (in the form of CBGA acid) as the starting compound from which other cannabinoids are formed.
Breeders have, however, selected varieties in which CBG is the dominant cannabinoid. The best known are the monoecious Santhica 27 and Santhica 70; our range also includes Enectarol and Seraly25. You will find them all in the category CBG seeds, and CBD varieties in the category CBD seeds.
Both CBD and CBG varieties must meet the same legal requirement – a maximum of 0.3% THC – and growing them involves the same formalities as for other industrial hemp (see the KOWR guide).
