As of January 2023, direct subsidies for growing FINOLA have been fully restored! FINOLA is the easiest-to-grow dioecious industrial hemp variety. It has been developed in Finland since 1995. It is genetics developed for food production and oil extraction, but it is also excellent for producing CBD-rich flowers. Fresh seeds with a 2025 certificate and high germination power. FINOLA grows to a height of 150 - 180 cm. It is an aromatic plant with large, light green leaves. Seeds are harvested from this hemp variety, from which dense hemp oil is pressed, and CBD oil is obtained from the flowers. Furthermore, thanks to its high terpene content, Finola can be used in the production of fragrance oils. The plant is characterized by a high oil content in the seeds, so it is grown primarily for harvesting hemp seeds and hemp oil. The flowering period of the plant falls at the end of June and in July. THC content is low and rarely exceeds 0.3%. Thanks to this very low content of the THC cannabinoid, the Finola variety has been accepted into the European catalogue of official agricultural plant varieties. CBD content is significantly higher and can reach up to 6%. The plant is perfectly adapted to growing in harsh climatic conditions and can be grown both outdoors and indoors. Finola is a unique hemp species - it is a self-flowering, autoflowering plant, independent of light. This means that the flowering process does not depend on sun exposure time. The plant can also flower during short days with little sunlight - flowering depends solely on the plant's age and its biological cycle. These characteristics allow FINOLA to also be sown as a catch crop (POPLON) with a second harvest in the autumn.
