Kompolti is a Hungarian variety grown throughout Europe. It is the most widespread Hungarian variety. It is the result of selection carried out for over 20 years by the skilled geneticist Prof. Bócsa. It was created from a combination of Chinese, Hungarian and probably Italian materials, characterized by a high level of vigour and broad adaptability to different environments. It is genetics developed for biomass production, but it also produces satisfactory quantities of seeds and flowers.
Kompolti hibrid TC is a Hungarian industrial hemp variety which, unlike the dioecious Kompolti variety, is monoecious. Due to its ability to produce an abundant seed yield, this variety is used to obtain dense hemp oil. Kompolti hibrid TC also performs excellently for obtaining flowers and CBD oils. The flowers have a characteristic amber colour and an intense scent due to their high content of essential oils and terpenoids. CBD content in this hemp variety is very high, reaching up to 8%; while THC content does not exceed 0.6%. Biomass can also be obtained from the plant.
Kompolti hibrid TC is perfectly adapted to European climatic conditions, reaching a height of up to 4 - 4.5 metres, with the flowering period falling in August and September.
