Eletta Campana is a historic Italian variety that has been cultivated for centuries in Italy, especially in Campania. Eletta Campana is an Italian dioecious cannabis variety that has been cultivated on the peninsula since ancient times. The plant grows in size from 2.5 - 5 meters. The flowering period is in August and September. The cannabinoid CBD content is high and exceeds 6%, and the plant is also rich in terpenoids. Thanks to this, Eletta Campana is used in the production of CBD oils. Hemp seeds can also be obtained from which thick hemp oil is pressed. This variety has also been developed for biomass harvesting.
The cultivation of this variety of hemp is possible both outdoors and indoors. The leaves of the plant are light green, large, with an intense fragrance. The inflorescences grow densely and are distinguished by an intense aroma.
Thanks to the valuable support of CanaPuglia, the seed heritage propagation research project has been launched, making it available to interested farmers since 2015.
It is genetics developed for the production of biomass, but yields satisfactory amounts also in terms of seeds and inflorescences.
This variety has female late flowering antithesis, which makes it suitable for growing in southern regions. Another morphological feature that clearly distinguishes the variety from similar ones is the size of the leaves, which turn out to have one of the largest blades.
