KOMPOLTI is a Hungarian variety grown all over Europe. It is the most widespread Hungarian variety. This is the result of selection carried out for over 20 years by an expert geneticist, Prof. Bócs. It was made of a combination of Chinese, Hungarian and probably Italian materials, characterized by a high level of vigor and wide adaptability to various environments. It is a genetics developed for the production of biomass, but produces satisfactory amounts also in terms of seeds and inflorescences. Kompolti is the most famous genetics used to create Cannabis Light strains.
The characteristics of this strain are a true reflection of belonging to the pure sativa subspecies: large size and profuse flowering.
The scent of the inflorescences is fresh and balsamic, with slightly citrus notes of lemon.
The oldest dioecious variety registered in Europe, the properties of which meet the latest growing requirements. It has fine and light leaves and a stem that is moderately ribbed. The growing season in Hungary is 110-115 days from germination if grown for fiber. The variety grown for seeds reaches maturity in 140-160 days. The seed yield is quite low.
It is characterized by high stem productivity (11-12 t / ha) and high fiber content (31-35%). The fiber is the highest in Europe. The fineness and strength of the fibers are average. The THC content is very low: 0.1-0.15%.
Growing suggestions: The most suitable soils for this variety are alluvial and black earth soil. Yields can be increased with nitrogen fertilization, but over-dosing worsens quality. High yields and good fiber quality can be achieved by appropriate plant density per m2, sowing 3.5-4 million live seeds / ha.
